Ritual Coffee Roasters and Mighty Leaf Tea – Exclusive Suppliers for Bi-Rite Catering

In addition to our two Markets, our Creamery and our work with our non-profit partner 18 Reasons, Bi-Rite also offers the best catering service available in the city of San Francisco. With our mission of “Creating Community Through Food,” we treat every catering order from start to finish as if we’re serving guests in our own home.

So naturally the items we serve your catered events are the those we love ourselves, are proud to serve, and want to share with you and your guests. With those goals in mind, we are pleased to be working with two new exclusive beverage suppliers, Ritual Coffee Roasters and Mighty Leaf Tea.

Ritual Coffee Roasters is a San Francisco favorite. Their Mission location is around the corner from our Bi-Rite Market 18th Street and is a favored hangout for our staff and guests. The Ritual gang are known for the care and attention they lavish on every step of their production process, and we love that they work with producers who, as Ritual says, care for their trees as they would their children.

Mighty Leaf Logo 1

Mighty Leaf Tea is a San Francisco-based tea company that globally sources the finest ingredients available for their handcrafted teas. They encourage sustainable farming and production methods for tea-growing regions worldwide, through their partnerships and sourcing practices. We love their tea because of its variety and delicious taste, and we love that their mission includes sustainability and fair trade.

These two new exclusive relationships enable us to offer hot beverages at your next catered event that are guaranteed to be crowd-pleasers. You can learn more about our Bi-Rite Catering services and browse our other offerings on our website. Call or email us today to set up your event!

Celebrate Summer! Our New Seasonal Catering Menu

ApricotsPrettyI know, I know, summer in San Francisco isn’t necessarily “summer,” really, but c’mon! We still get all the amazing tomatoes, stone fruit, vegetables, and good vibes that summer brings to everyone outside the fog bank. The days are luxuriously long, BBQs can last well into the wee hours, and with the solstice and 4th of July just around the corner, there’s no better time of year to slather on the sunscreen and invite everyone you know over for a little sun (or not-sun) worship.

Bi-Rite Catering is gearing up for a great season using many of the fantastic seasonal fruits and veggies that are carried by our markets! There are so many new veggie options on the menu, in fact, that by the time you get to the Focaccia Flatbread with Peaches, Bacon, Goat Cheese, Fresh Thyme and Rooftop Honey Drizzle and the brand new Ciabatta Finger Sandwiches with Estancia Beef Tenderloin, Roasted Red Peppers, Grilled Onions, Chimichurri Sauce and Mixed Greens, you’ll have to figure out how to make room. And you’ll do it, too.

CornYou’ll have to! Otherwise how else are you going to figure out your favorite new salad dish? It’s going to be tough to choose between Summer Corn and Tomato Salad with Mediterranean Cucumbers, Peppers, Red Onions, Cilantro, and Parsley and something like our Fresh Summer Bean and New Potato Salad with Parsley and Roasted Shallot Vinaigrette. You know what? Don’t choose. Get them both! And if you absolutely must have some sort of food on a stick (who doesn’t?), we are all really excited about the Mozzarella Bocconcini and Cherry Tomato Skewers with Basil Dip. So simple yet so, so delicious.

So if it’s a 4th of July party, an office cocktail reception, or Aunt Dorothy’s family reunion in Golden Gate Park, we have your food desires covered. Now go chase some sun!

Graduation = Celebration!

catering_logo

You did it. You’re done! You’ve run the gauntlet, slain the dragon, put in your hard time. You’re graduating! Or, your kid is graduating! It’s the season of accomplishment, of literal and metaphorical books closing. The work is done, and it’s time to sit back, relax, celebrate, and, oh yeah, EAT!

HatsFlyingBi-Rite Catering can make the eating part of your celebration delicious and easy. We can deliver pretty platters and baskets of food directly to your door – not the usual catering fare, either. We’re talking hand-prepared savory tartlets on light-as-air, buttery pastry. Crispy flatbreads with seasonal ingredients. Entrees of slow-roasted salmon and peppered beef sirloin. And organic kale! Our farro and kale salad has bright flavors. We also offer a wide selection of wine and beer for the of-age crowd. For the high schools grads among you we can deliver soft drinks, tea, and all manner of bubbly and un-bubbly water.

If you want to throw a big ol’ shindig, with servers passing around trays, a bartender mixing drinks, and a lot less work for you, we have that covered as well. Full Service events are something we rock at–and you get to play around with the menu a little more, too. Bi-Rite Catering can supply you with anything you need for your graduation season hoedown. You can peruse the menu, fill out an inquiry form, and the ball will be officially rolling! Good work and congratulations!

Fresh-off-the-vine Tomatoes, Summer Corn, Stone Fruit and more: New Summer Catering Menu

DoughnutsThe aromas of rich stone fruits and fresh-off-the-vine tomatoes fill our markets. Relaxation is in the air. The days are long and the warm weather lures us to gather together. Ah yes friends, Summer is here! Check out our new Summer Peak of Season menu and let Bi-Rite Catering make your upcoming events easy like Sunday morning. We’re highlighting summer produce stars such as peaches on our Focaccia Flatbread with Peaches, Goat Cheese, and Fresh Thyme. (Did you know California is the largest harvester of stone fruits in the U.S.?)

CornAnd although some production methods try to prove otherwise, corn does indeed have a season and nothing quite screams Summer like sweet corn. Taste the seasonal difference in our Savory Tartlets with Summer Corn, Goat Cheese, Piquillo Peppers and Fresh Marjoram  or our Summer Corn and Tomato Salad with English Cucumbers, Peppers, Red Onions, Cilantro and Parsley.

Stay cool with our take on the caprese salad. The Mozzarella Bocconcini and Cherry Tomato Skewers with Basil Dip keep things simple and delicious—no fork required!

Turn up the music, kick off your shoes, and give a cheers to the fact that just outside city limits, our farm fields are feeling the heat affording us the chance to savor sweet summer flavors while wrapped in sweaters under fog-soaked skies.
