Bi-Rite Catering and Events is a branch of the Bi-Rite Family of Businesses. Bi-Rite Market opened in 1940 and it has become a Mission District institution. Bi-Rite Catering and Events holds the same standards, values, and reputation that the Markets pride themselves on. We believe that food does more than nourish: food brings people together. We think it’s our responsibility to build meaningful relationships with each part of our extended family; the food we make and sell connects our staff, our guests, our producers, and the environment. We search endlessly for the finest ingredients by seeking out the fanatical farmer who swears that the best tasting tomato should be dry-farmed, the rancher who believes that a more mature grass-fed cow tastes infinitely better, and the winemaker who feels great wine should be a natural expression of a grape and a season.
