We feature the small batch ice cream and hand baked pastries and confections made at our Creamery and Bakeshop on 18th Street.
We are passionate about cheese produced in small batches using old-world methods; our personal relationships allow us to sell cheeses not available in other stores. Ask us for a taste of any cheese you see!
We think that tasting is the best way to learn about food, which is why we taste (and know the story behind) products before we decide to put them on our shelves.
We offer a bountiful assortment of meat from pasture raised, grass fed, and humanely treated animals, and our butchers break down whole animals in house. We adhere to strict guidelines when choosing which meat, poultry and fish to sell, and make sure all that comes out of our case is fresh so you enjoy the flavor at its best.
We cook all of our prepared salads, sandwiches, soups and dinner meals in-house– the kitchen is right in the middle of the store.
We’re known throughout San Francisco for our stunning farm-direct produce selection and the delicious samples that we offer (ask for a taste of any fruit or vegetable you see- it’s like a farmer’s market every day at Bi-Rite!)
Our sandwiches run the gamut from exotic Vietnamese Pork to classic French-style ham and swiss. We use the best ingredients and let their simple flavors rule. We work with winemakers who believe that good wine starts in the vineyard, raise their grapes sustainably, and develop their wines to be enjoyed with food. Our in-house wine buyers taste every single wine before deciding whether to offer it. We want you to feel confident that every bottle on our shelves will be delicious, great with food, and will wow your guests.
We are proud to offer our guests the freshest, responsibly-grown, seasonal flowers and foliage year round. We maintain close relationships with our farmers and San Francisco Flower Mart vendors to provide beautiful, peak season flowers throughout the year.
