We recently visited and chose Bi-Rite as the place where my five month-old daughter was to have her first taste of ice cream. She loved the roasted banana and, being the sophisticated girl that she is already, also loved the salted caramel.

We’re from out of state and now we’re all craving both flavors. Any chance we could get some shipped?

    • Kirsten says:

      Hi Ryan,

So glad you (and your young sophisticate) liked our ice cream! As much as we’d love to keep you stocked from afar, we don’t have the ability to ship at this point. Reason for another visit to SF?

      • Ryan says:

It absolutely is. As you can see from a visit to my blog, we had an embarrassing amount of good food in SF and plan to return as early as possible.

Is there any amount of begging or bribing that will lead you to offer shipping for pints in the future? The amount of ice cream that one can eat in a single visit to the city is substantially smaller than the amount it will take to keep us sated.

I concur with Ryan. Salted Caramel cravings are too much for me to handle, I might make a trip from Orange County, CA to San Francisco just for salted caramel. Will you start shipping ice cream anytime soon? I promise to order the first 10 pints!

  3. Ryan says:

My cravings having reached delusional proportions, I’ve started an online petition to convince Bi-Rite Creamery to start shipping domestically. I can only hope the cries of the oppressed masses toiling in ice cream deprivation will be heard.

Please tell your friends. Our uplifted voices, joined in the cry against this difficulty, will not fall on deaf ears. I know, because when I placed my last order for salted caramel at the Creamery, I did it aloud. And I was heard. By people who could hear.

As will we all be, soon.

  4. Tina says:

Do you sell the ice cream sandwiches at the market too, or just the pints?

    • Kirsten says:

We do! The flavors vary but we always have a few, $3.99 each. Right now we have chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream, brown butter cookie with coffee ice cream, dark chocolate cookie with mint chip ice cream, and sugar cookie with balsamic strawberry ice cream (my favorite!)

Is your ice cream sold at any locations other than the Creamery and the market? I come to the Bay Area often for work, but making it to the City is a challenge!
